Solstice in the hills at Angus and Marys.... when I say hills I mean on the top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere, beautiful and remote though it is. On the way back Dermot and I had to leave the car to move the trees that had blown down over the road so patient and sober Kate could drive on. Very dramatic and great fun after a splendid evening involving a deal of excellent food and quantities of the life-giving blanquette. Thanks, all - especially Angus and Mary but also the guests, old friends and new. Its not just the blanquette that makes me think I love y'all ---
