charmingly curious, very entertaining.

the captain and I have been referring to it as the Idiot Child. And when we remember, Ruby. Possibly the mum is Ruby; she crops up to chatter at the fledgling. Our bird does do clueless, hence the idiot child sobriquet.
I will try out the names and see if it responds.
