girlie night

Have got to get my real camera repaired -:) Elaine aint normally so bitty even during a girlie night - wonderful giggly fun at Elaine's based around a spectacular meal of giant prawn things, veal in Roquefort sauce, salad with toasted sunflower seeds, raspberries and pomegranates. When we left Autugnac the large bit of moon in the sky was doing well and not dimming the stars too much - we are in the middle of the gemminids and I had hopes of seeing a shower. By the time Tilling loomed, the river mist had obscured all. But I knew they were there.

Safe journey

Had a relaxing day in sunny Carcassonne thanks to Margret - we shopped and ate things that were far from slimming. Great laugh. Then dinner with Kat to send Pete on his way to Amsterdam to spend christmas with Nel. Safe journey and see you both for the new shiny 2012

Monday night

Kat and Pete and me decided to go and eat moules frites together but the moules friterie was closed so we got pizza from T Rex and watched tele at Petes and drank a nice Chardonnay d'Oc. Its cold... but very beautiful.
Here are our christmas decorations vying with the moon.

Breakfast with the stars

No, I wasn't up early enough to have breakfast with those stars but late enough to have breakfast with Angus, Mary and Vivienne - local stars.
The mist this morning was fierce and no sky-stars were visible; the mist was so cold that I lit the fire for the first time this year. Now of course its really hot.

Here's Vivienne looking gorgeous as ever, out Christmas shopping despite her recent illness...and some buskers in the market - which was fun and frisky and full of character, like it is.
Tilling Towers has become Slutsville Central since all guests have gone. Going to get to grips with tiding today, cook a bit, then use the fire by curling up round it with a selection of enriching books. C'est la vie, lala.

Angus is a star

Here's our Angus at one of his three London gigs - hugely successful, of course (we knew he'd be brill) Anyone posted the youtube video?
His band is Cressida, dormant for yonks and now resurgent... http://www.cressida-group.co.uk/

workers farewell

Had a farewell dinner last night for Micheal, the German HelpX worker who has been doing a bit of decorating here. He was more than usually taciturn but Kat, Elaine and I enjoyed it:) Avacado/tuna/cream cheese terrine wrapped in smoked salmon, steak and chips with broccoli from the garden, cream and chestnut puree whipped over chocolate biscuit with those finger sponge things that we always called Funeral Biscuits when I was a kid, dunno why -

Forgot to take photies so here is the mighty Aude yesterday looking very autumnal.
