tuesday is pensive

Last nights excellent dinner (Toby and Leo, thank you -
and Andrée, Daniel, Edith, Pablo et al) caused me to wake late and metaphysical. So, here is a snap of the ancient carvings at Rennes la Chapeau (dated by the town hall @ c.4,000 - 4,500 BCE) and possibly a star map; which in turn reminded me of the following zen maxims that Fi sent a while back - all of which made me laugh. Cheers Fi, hope you are doing OK...

1. Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me for the path is narrow. In fact, just bugger off and leave me alone.

2. Sex is like air. It's not important unless you aren't getting any.

3. Always remember you're unique. Just like everyone else.

4. If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

5. If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

6. If you lend someone £20 and never see that person again, it was probably well worth it.

7. Some days you are the bug; some days you are the wind screen.

8. Don't worry; it's only kinky the first time.

the gap in maxim 1. was the machine automatically deleting a rudish phrase. Interesting to know that this thing contains its own censor.
