Life,eh -

Kat gave us all (except Nel, still too ill to come out) an excellent dinner last night.
Roger was as ever and is the same this morning.
Haven't seen Ian but would guess the same.
I drank hugely of the range of rare vintages and feel great today.
Mark was quite sensible and did a bit of each bottle followed by a glass of water; he fell down the stairs and sprained his ankle.
Kat didn't drink at all and has the mother of a hangover.

.....Captain on his way, landed at Toulouse this morning. 4 Cyberneticians expected by tea time.

Oswald the tortoise has re-hibernated herself in a bed of moss.

Max and Andrea

They're back!!
-And last night Mark did the cooking with Roger's help while I idled the evening in a meeting at the MJC. A very good meal - thanks team - and such fun to get such lively people together:)

In case you are concerned about the magpies (since their usual roosting tree has been haircutted and made unusable) fear not; they are roosting in the plane trees round the back of the MJC, not visible from the street. Perfectly clear from the office where we hold the meetings of the MJC though -

cyberneticians begin to arrive

Heres Roger, the first cybernetician in for the weekend workshop, seen here with Kat and Mark.

Kat dropped Pete off at the Station in Carcassonne en route to his plane for Bristol to visit Sally and picked up Roger who had just got in from the airport and was heading for the train to Tilling.

Nel, not in the best of health, will be staying here in Petes absence.

Bob is next in, followed by more cyberneticians...

Flying Saucer in Tilling

This alien craft, called Le Bugarach, is available from the bakers in Rue Ellie Sements* for 2 euros and very good too.
Glad that there are signs of cashing in on the end-of-the-world crisis, albiet in a small way.
I have just invented rather a fine cocktail which I'm going to call Sang de Lézard. It involves boiling organic lemons with rosemary, adding sugar, freezing and deconstructing using lemon liqueur.
*Una bagetta longa, that one.

annie at work

Here is Annie in her office, I'Origynal - Pete is outside on his portable having a multi-conference. Its too noisy in the cafe, apparently.
They are off tomorrow, I'm gutted, so much so that I can't even remember where - just, elsewhere, Glasgow, whatever. Back April, they think.

But I'm not alone- Jim has pushed off to Norway and I have his tortoise Oswald in the yard. Doesn't say much but I can chatter enough for two. Lily and the hens are interested in him, not often you see a rock move round here.
